via a-l-ancien-regime: Lié-Louis Périn-Salbreux (1753–1817). Portrait of Madame Sophie (1734-1782)

Previously thought to be a portrait of Marie-Antoinette (“La Petite Reine”), the painting’s subject has been identified as Madame Sophie, because of her library’s distinctive parquet floor. (Musée des beaux-arts de Reims)
